Quick Involvement - Starts to commit early in a relation, and moves the relationship along quick.
Jealousy - Very possessive, needs to know your every move and who you are with all the time. This is also a sign of insecurity.
Contolling Behavior - Interrogates the victim, needs to control all aspects of their life. Controls money, what you wear, where you go, who you associate with.
Isolation - The abuser will will isolate their victim from family and friends. Deprives them of the phone and car.
Blames others - Its never their fault for anything, and everyone is out to get them.
Cruelty to Animals and Children - They may kill or brutally punish animals. They may expect children to to do things beyond their abilities or tease them untill they cry.
Sudden Mood Swings - Mood can change quickly, from sweet to explosive in a matter of minutes.
Past Battering - Admits to hitting women in the past, but states that the situation was the cause.
Threats of Violence - Will make violent threats toward the victim, and then dismiss such remarks with "I didn't really mean it."
Rigid Sex Roles - Expects the victim to serve and obey.
